All Girls Are At Risk Of Poor Body Image

No one is born with poor body image or low self-esteem. Our inner critic, however, does start early. The Girls On The Run program is designed to give girls and young women a positive alternative to the negative feelings they may be starting to develop about their bodies and their abilities. If you need help learning to be more joyful, confident and healthy, Girls On The Run Southwest Missouri may be the answer for you too – no running experience necessary!

By volunteering as a coach for Girls on the Run of Southwest Missouri, you get to help a girl or young woman learn to increase her self-confidence and develop healthy relationships with her body and with others. As a coach, you get to join her as she finds joy in moving her body and you get to soak up the life-changing lessons of the Girls on the Run curriculum too!

The deadline to register as a coach for the fall session is August 17, so sign up now! If you can’t serve as a coach this fall, plan now to be a coach for the spring session.

Don’t worry if you can’t commit to being a coach. You can still support Girls on the Run Southwest Missouri by being a SoleMate, a Running Buddy or by donating to help sponsor a girl who otherwise couldn’t afford to be a part of this transformative program.  You can even take care of dinner and support Girls on the Run Southwest Missouri by stopping by Bambino’s on Battlefield on August 28, 2019. 20% of the proceeds that day between 4 and 8 pm will help fund the amazing work Girls on the Run Southwest Missouri does.
